Granddaughters and Wisdom

Maddie (back right) with some of her cousins.
We were standing in front of the display on the wall outside the office of our club house.  My husband is pictured there twice.  He is surrounded by friends from the RV resort. My 9 year old granddaughter gazed in amazement at pictures of so much fun.  Then she asked me a wonderful question.  "Is everyone who lives near you an elder Grandma?"  I had never been called that before. An elder!

How wonderful it would be if everyone saw us as elders...wise, learned, experienced. We would be revered for our knowledge and our advice would be sought out. The respect we received would make us stand tall.

Thank you Maddie Anna...you have made me feel important and needed. That doesn't happen very often.
