Seriously, you cannot make this stuff up. Squirrels discovered our bird feeder and the would eat the whole feeder full in one day.
Solution: WD40. Spray it on the top of the feeder and the pole it is hanging on. They will not go near it!
No explanation...just results. :)

I live in an apartment but I love watching the squirrels in our neighborhood. I was wondering, if it deters the squirrels, what about the birds?

DeleteSquirrels and English sparrows are the reason I stopped feeding the birds. I like your solution! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe squirrels are marauding little creatures. They destroys our lawn furniture and cushions. They are no where in sight anymore. I cannot explain that either. A neighbor cut down a tree is the only thing that has changed. The birds are coming more now and we are now seeing gold finches. I like that a lot.
